In this DIY project, Leon shows how he made a washing machine conversion himself. For this project he ordered custom-made primed MDF panels in different thicknesses. Read more about his approach and experience below.

Description of Leon

We wanted to make a cupboard for the washing machine, which is located in our arrival hall and so we thought it would be nice to have this to be neatly removed. That is why we ordered MDF panels to make a conversion for this. First we started by making 1 side to create stability. We then attached the second part to it so that it became one whole. Our follow-up project is to make cupboard doors and drawers and a conversion for the central heating boiler, which we ordered again via this site because everything was delivered perfectly tailored to size. I will elaborate on this in another review.

How I made this project

First we started by making 1 side to create stability. We then attached the second part to it so that it became one whole. In the end I varnished everything afterwards, which was of little consequence as everything arrived primed. It is advisable to do this project with 2 people as it was a low space and we could not assemble it lying down but had to do everything standing up.
