When space is limited, it often happens that there is no suitable standard furniture for sale. This is why making it yourself is often a good alternative. Daniel started working with sawn white birch plywood to make his practical and well thought-out folding desk.

Description by Daniel

What was needed was a desk that takes up little space when not in use. However, it should have a normal depth of 80 cm when unfolded so that you can work at it for longer. There should also be storage space for office supplies and cables should be as invisible as possible.

How I did this project

As there was no suitable finished product to buy, I had to plan and build it myself. I created the plan with www.vectary.com and ordered all the elements with the right dimensions online. The individual parts were quickly connected with wooden dowels and a few invisible screws. There was hardly any sawing necessary, only two small cable ducts are placed in the lower board (invisibly). It is important to measure precisely so that in the end all elements are perpendicular to each other. The piece of furniture was finally attached to the wall with four screws.
