To ensure the durability of the renovated scaffolding, I provided the saw cuts, which can be exposed to rain, with a layer of paint. This prevents the panels from absorbing water through the cuts, making them last longer. Thanks to this approach, the scaffolding is like new again and resistant to the elements.

How I made this project

I used the profiled Betonplex plates from TOSIZE.be great to breathe new life into an old jetty. I removed the old plates from the scaffolding and passed on their dimensions. After this, the new plates fit directly into the gangway. I just applied some paint to the saw cuts that could get wet from the rain so that the panel cannot absorb water through the saw cut. This way the plank will last longer.
