Description
A storage module on wheels for the storage of roller skates, which are used during events and workshops. I designed and built this piece of furniture myself. The skates are positioned at a slight angle of 5 degrees and are held in place by a small beam.
The cabinets are connected to each other with three hinges. The hinges allow the cabinet to open like a flight case, allowing skaters to grab their roller skates and swap them with their shoes. When the cupboard is closed, the skates can be easily transported.
Work description: how did you realize your project
- The underlayment wood first completely sanded with coarse and then fine sandpaper.
- After sanding and cleaning, I put all the planks together and made separate modules. First all the planks and later the housing.
- I marked all the screw holes with a pencil.
The housing is also glued in place, but the planks are only screwed in place so that they can be repaired when necessary. I chiselled the hinges out of the long sides so that the cabinet can be fully opened.
Finally, I screwed the wheels underneath and then lacquered everything so that the cabinet is firmly put together.
Final size: What are the external dimensions?
