Our old workplace in the showroom was an old counter full of tools, which caused unrest and gave a messy appearance. The goal was to create an improved workplace for a small budget, which blends quietly into our shop design.

Work description: how did you realize your project

We bought an old white Bruynzeel kitchen from 1995, and painted it matte black. At opmaatzagen.nl we ordered a beautiful worktop 40 mm Multiplex Okoume waterproof of 2300 mm x 670 mm. We colored this with a scratch-resistant transparent interior paint and installed it at an ideal height for our work on piano mechanisms. We placed a sheet of 9.5mm plywood hardwood 1800mm x 600mm over the kitchen unit to cover the drawers and cupboards. Above that, 4 beams 40mm x 95mm, and on top of that our 40mm worktop. Everything screwed down from below and mounted with extra glue. This way we have a very solid worktop at our ideal working height! Final size: What are the outside dimensions?

Our kitchen unit is 180.0 cm x 60.0 cm. We have chosen to extend the worktop by 7.0 cm so that we can bend over the mechanisms properly. The outer leaf is 230.0 cm x 67.0 cm.
