How do I process water-resistant MDF?
Moisture-resistant MDF can be processed in the same way as ordinary MDF. However, it is important to bear in mind that Damp-proof MDF is harder than ordinary MDF. This can make it more difficult to saw, drill and screw Damp-proof MDF.
Tips for working with Damp-proof MDF
- Use sharp tools to machine Damp-proof MDF.
- Use a water-proof primer before painting or varnishing Damp-proof MDF.
- Protect edges, drill holes and recesses with an additional water-proof edge sealer when the board material is in direct contact with moisture.
