In this DIY project, Tjardo shows that he has created a beautiful piece of furniture with the help of Ikea, scaffolding tube and custom-sawn oak carpentry panel. By choosing to order sawing work online, he was able to get started on his project immediately. The result is a homemade hall cupboard with coat rack.
Description of Tjardo
Hall cupboard with coat rack. With Metod / Maximera base cabinet and Voxtorp doors / drawer front. The oak carpentry panels are attached to a frame of white scaffolding tubes.
How I made this project
For the cupboard I used two Metod kitchen base cabinets measuring 80 x 37 cm. With a Maximera drawer and Voxtorp doors and drawer fronts. I also made a conversion around a radiator with two shallow slabs (bottom left). On top of this is the oak top (Oak Carpentry Panel A / B 26 mm) measuring 263 x 42 cm, the same dimensions as the top panel. The cabinet is constructed using a scaffolding tube construction of ø 33.7 mm.
Dimensions of my DIY project
