We missed a modern, sleek side table in our interior, no higher than the sofa. Of course, first looked in furniture stores and online for existing options. Unfortunately all too high, too wide or too deep. Most were also not modern enough. We then requested a quote to have the side table custom made. We were so shocked by this that I decided to make the side table myself. With the help of TOSIZE.be and a good working drawing, it was quite easy.

How I made this project

Started with the main dimensions. Based on this, a working drawing was made, taking into account the plate thickness and the required strength. Of course you don't want the top to sag in a short time. From 18 mm MDF via 'opmaatzagen.nl' ordered all necessary panels. Add a few more beams, some screws, wood glue and corner anchors, and wait for the order. It arrived quite quickly, neatly packaged. Everything was put together in a few hours, and it turned out that all the specified dimensions were perfectly sawn. Then fill, sand, prime twice, apply lacquer, sand and topcoat twice.
