An open staircase often looks messy, especially if there are things behind it. Closing the stairs at the rear is a good solution for a neat finish. By choosing to order sawn panels online, you can get started right away. This makes closing your stairs a relatively simple DIY project!

Description by Erwin

I closed the open stairs. Now there is a frame with a door in front. There is always rubbish under the stairs and now it has been neatly concealed.

How I made this project

As a first step, I measured all the steps, this is a job where you can properly measure the take your time, because nothing is more annoying if it doesn't fit. You can then easily enter the sizes and order on the site. Upon receipt, each plank clearly states which step it is for and its size. This is very easy, because then everything always goes well. Planks are secured with glue and screws and will be painted later, which is also easy, because the planks are supplied primed (this is a choice).

Dimensions of my DIY project

Staircase with 15 steps and 2 bends.
